and magnesium work together and should be taken in a 2:1 ratio. Most multi- vitamins already have
400IU of vitamin D which is the recommended dose for people under age 65. Most calcium/vitamin D
supplements have an additional 400IU of vitamin D which is unnecessary. Boron deficiency seems to
affect calcium and magnesium metabolism, and affects the composition, structure and strength of
bone, leading to changes similar to those seen in osteoporosis.
