POST REHABILITATIVE EXERCISE
Have you been injured? Have you had some type of surgery? Has your insurance stopped paying for physical
therapy, but you're not recovered yet? Do you have a special need?
Exercise is an essential factor in all injury recovery, conditioning and performance, and if used correctly
can play a preventative role in injury management.
Post-Rehabilitative exercise can help to restore range of motion, re-build strength, endurance and power,
re-establish neuromuscular control and balance, and provide positive progress for a specific sport or a
healthier lifestyle.
Unless they are degreed health care professionals, personal trainers do not have the education
and may not BY LAW give a client a diagnosis of a problem AND provide care for that condition.
Only a qualified doctor may diagnose and give prescription for an existing injury or a biomechanical
deficiency.
Post-Rehabilitative exercise bridges the gap between health care and fitness. Our carefully designed programs
pick up from where physical therapy left off and help you achieve a maximum recovery to fitness
following an injury or surgery. Exercise is the best medicine!

I met Mi in January of 2006, when I was just getting out of the United States Air Force.
I've been working ?out at the FITNESS STUDIO and I thought that I knew everything I needed
to know about health and fitness. Little did I really know!
Mi started giving me little tips here and there to help me maximize my workout.
Then he corrected my form. He knew what I needed to be doing from squats to upright rows to
every young man’s favorite -- the bench press. I learned that I had the basics down and just
needed to be fine-tune my workout a little bit. I write this with a smile on my face as I
know that I am one of the most stubborn, hard-headed people around. I tried Mi's patience
but he never faltered.
After about there months of working with Mi five days a week I was feeling that I was ready to challenge
myself. In the past I've run marathons, swam long distances, and rode my mountain bike all over the Sierra
Nevada mountain range, but I never thought about trying all three. Well now, I figured, was the time to try.
I talked with Mi about my goals and the next day he was ready for me.
Mi had a six-week workout program that was tailored to my needs for my first triathlon. In
addition to a resistance program, Mi developed a cardio program that included biking and swimming
and a nutrition program to help me eat the right carbs that would be essential for me to make it
through the race.
Six days out from the race he had me begin to carbo load, giving me a comprehensive list of good
and bad carbs to eat along with a modified cardio routine to maximize my energy levels.
Finally, he taught me how to stretch all my muscles groups before and after the race, including
the self-myofascial release stretching -- a technique that I later learned Olympic athletes are using.
I believe that I could have done the triathlon without Mi’s training, but I don't think that I would
have lost ten pounds off my frame, added 50 pounds to my bench press and 70 pounds to my squat. I
also shaved almost two-and-a-half minutes off my three mile run. Mi tested me physically and mentally,
he was patient and worked with me when I didn't want to work. Thanks Mi, for all your help.
Sincerely,
Dave Crook.
